Adam’s overture to Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) was very telling. The longtime enemies haven’t been civil to each other in years and, of course, Chloe has tried to kill Adam on more than one occasion. So his request that she come to the penthouse to visit with Chelsea underscores just how concerned Adam (Mark Grossman) is with Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) well-being. But Chloe isn’t the only person in Genoa City, Wisconsin, to see the change in Adam’s demeanor.

Speaking of attempts on one’s life, Adam recently planned to literally topple Newman Towers. He worked with an unseen henchman to plant some sort of devastating device inside the corporate building.

Adam was set to remotely detonate the device, knowing that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and his siblings were gathered, waiting for him, in the Chief Executive Officer’s suite. Thankfully Grossman’s character changed course.

Despite gaining full knowledge of his son’s plans, Victor hasn’t hesitated in reaching out to Adam following news of Chelsea’s stroke and need for emergency surgery.

Y&R Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson’s Voice Will Be Heard

Y&R fans fully anticipate that Chelsea will recover in time. Egan is a major player on the show and won’t play out an indefinite number of years blinking once for yes and twice for no, which is Chelsea’s only current form of communication.

However, it is fair to wonder if Chelsea will hold Adam fully accountable for her condition. She suffered her health crisis after he had her abducted, which Adam felt compelled to do because she was onto his his dastardly Newman Towers plan.

Chelsea has a lot of time to think while she’s recovering. So, she’ll need to balance the true compassion and love that Adam is offering against the serious health situation his actions likely caused.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Gains Another Opportunity

It wouldn’t be believable if Y&R writes Adam back to the initial days of Chris Engen (Adam), who played this role when it was first SORAS’d (soap opera rapid aging syndrome). Far too much drama has happened through the years for their to be an immediate and permanent shift in how this father and son relate to each other.

But it is reasonable to think that Adam will listen to Chelsea when she can speak again. If Egan’s character insists that Victor deserves his full consideration and also credits the Moustache with helping to facilitate her recovery with no strings attached, then Adam will be forced to reexamine his relationship with his father and family in general.
