General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin Decides To Kill Peter So Anna Won’t Have To?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) currently has her hands tied in her quest to bring Peter August (Wes Ramsey) to justice. Peter had the foresight to poison someone close to Anna. Peter thought that it would be Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) but Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) ended up being the one who ingested the deadly drug. Peter has promised Anna that he would provide the antidote as long as she stopped trying to put him behind bars. Anna, as well as Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) agreed to back down.

While Anna could certainly just do as Peter has asked, she knows she waited too long as it is to take action. At first she believed that she was Peter’s mother, but Peter’s birth was just an implanted memory. It was actually her twin sister, Alex Devane (also Finola Hughes) who slept with Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and gave birth to his son. While Anna was certainly relieved that she never slept with Faison, she was also angry with herself for looking the other way as her goddaughter Maxie Jones (Kristen Storms) began a romance with Peter and eventually ended up carrying his baby.

And now that Anna knows without a doubt that Peter is guilty of horrendous crimes, she has taken it on herself to stop him no matter what. Part of that plan may very well include having someone else work on creating an antidote. Perhaps her daughter, Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) who is an expert on such things! If Robin finds a way to cure Chase, then Anna can resume her plans against Peter. But how far will she be able to go?

Anna has indicated to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) that if she can’t bring Peter to justice, then she is prepared to take him out. But as Jason noted, that’s going to be easier said than done. It wasn’t all that long ago that Anna believed herself to be Peter’s mother. And she is still his Aunt by blood. So although she may believe she can do, it will likely bring her terrible feelings of guilt. Perhaps someone will step in and kill Peter so Anna won’t have to live with doing it herself.

General Hospital Spoilers – Would Valentin Cassadine Commit Murder So Anna Devane Doesn’t Have To?

Valentin feels responsible for Peter’s criminal behavior almost as much as Anna does. He took Peter away from his adoptive parents and gave him to Faison. Faison was cruel to Peter, but even as abusive as Faison was as a father, Peter learned everything he could from Faison. Peter wouldn’t be the criminal he is today if Valentin had just left things alone. Valentin will want to spare Anna from the guilt of murdering Peter. Even though they aren’t mother and son, Anna can’t just turn off those maternal feelings completely. So perhaps Valentin will end the threat of Peter August permanently so Anna doesn’t have to.
