British Royal family news reveals the longest-reigning monarch in the history of the British Monarchy will be celebrating an important milestone next year: her Platinum Jubilee!!! The U.K.-wide bank holiday celebration will last for four days and involve thousands of people.
The royals know that there’s no time to waste when planning a massive event like the one they’re looking forward to pulling off a year from now, so they’re already hard at a work meeting with the volunteers that will be involved in the upcoming Platinum Jubilee.
Kate Middleton And Camilla Join Queen Elizabeth For The Monarch’s Busy Weekend
The Queen will be 96 at the time of her 70th year on the throne, and the milestone will be celebrated with a mega four-day event that will start on Thursday, June 2 with Trooping the Colour and will end on Sunday, June 5.
With the support of the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge, the Queen will be occupied by a busy weekend of engagements.
On Friday evening, the Monarch left the initial reception for world leaders at the Eden Project and headed to a second party for the Big Lunch initiative. There, the Queen, 95, Camilla, 73, and Kate, 39, met with volunteers who are leading the latest campaign to get people to meet up for meals and community bonding.
These planners will be involved in putting into motion a project that will be central in getting all Britons involved for next year’s Platinum Jubilee.
The Big Lunch was founded in 2009 as a means to encourage communities to celebrate their existing connections and form new ones by meeting for a party or a meal. In 2022, the Big Jubilee Lunch will invite people across communities in the U.K. to share friendship, fun, and food with neighbors as part of the celebrations.
As the female senior royals were engaged at the Big Lunch reception, Prince Charles and Prince William met and discussed with G-7 business leaders and others at a second venue in the park.
