British royal family news reveals that a sex scandal is threatening to destroy the high and mighty brand Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have worked so hard to craft. Their brand is all they have left after defecting from the monarchy, and they’ve desperately clung onto the titles Duke and Duchess of Sussex plus trademarked their son’s name for a website on which to spill their screed.

Now royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti says that the sex scandal has left Harry and Meghan in a, “very awkward” position.

According to him, “The Prince Andrew scandal will be one of the biggest challenges the royals have ever faced, but it also has the potential to be damaging to Harry and Meghan. They’ve been working extremely hard on their new brand using their royal connection as a springboard. They are inextricably linked to the Palace.”

The Markle’s left the monarchy precisely to brand themselves silly. In their own words they coveted “financial freedom” over family. After ditching his family and coming to the US, Meghan and Harry have signed deals with Netflix, Spotify and Apple TV. Never mind that they have done no work for any of these companies.

Just the mere name and royal-by-association of the Sussex’s was thought to be worth millions upon millions for execs to spend. Now how do these public image conscious corporations feel about being associated with a royal sex scandal via Harry’s “Randy Andy” uncle?

Two words come to mind: buyer’s remorse.

Royal watcher Sacerdoti goes on to say, “So this scandal is a big blow for them and could ruin the reputation they’ve built up – especially around their work in empowering women. It’s a matter that’s totally out of their control – Meghan will be having complex, tense and difficult crisis talks with Harry behind the scenes about their future and how to address this without their reputation being affected. How they deal with it will be telling.”

Meghan has gone out of her way branding herself as a women’s rights advocate, going so far as to tie herself with fiercely feminist figure Gloria Steinem as they worked to get Joe Biden elected president.

Meghan was reportedly “horrified” when Prince Andrew’s scandal broke wide open in 2019 and last week Virginia Roberts Giuffre filed a lawsuit against Andrew alleging that he had sex with her when she was a minor, as a part of his dead convicted pedophile friend Jeffrey Epstein’s sordid world.

This latest development has reportedly pushed the palace into crisis mode and by extension the Markle’s could see the empire they built stained by association.

Sacerdoti thinks Meghan is still, “horrified … so it’s definitely a conflict in Meghan’s agenda to be even loosely connected to the Prince Andrew scandal.”

“I’m sure she’d like to use this opportunity to stand up for women, to make a statement, show her support for victims of sexual abuse and encourage women to speak out. But on the other hand, that would draw attention to their link with the royal family.”

Royal Family News – Will Prince Harry’s Words Come Back To Haunt Him?

Prince Harry’s words about the scandal may come back to haunt him. On two occasions Harry was duped by prank callers who told him he was talking to teenage environmental activist Greta Thunberg (no one has accused Harry of being the sharpest knife in the drawer). Dumbo Harry fell for the hoax not once but twice, in 2019 and in 2020.

The not too bright Harry was tricked into answering questions about Andrew’s scandal via Epstein, and he said, “I have very little to say on that. But whatever he has done or hasn’t done, is completely separate from me and my wife. We operate in a way of inclusivity and we are focusing on community. And so we are completely separate from the majority of my family.”
