Law And Order: Special Victims Unit, (SVU) spoilers reveal that amidst the cast shakeup, NBC fans will see way more of Octavio Pisano. He plays the role of Joe Velasco, a detective in the show.
Law & Order SVU fans heard that Officer Kat Tamin, (Jamie Gray Hyder) and Deputy Chief Christian Garland, (Demore Barnes) exited the show. That allows a lot of scope for Joe Velasco to play out his character.
Law & Order SVU Spoilers And Cast Shake-Ups
Spoilers for Season 23 in September revealed that cast shakeups emerged. They included the news that Olivia (Liv) Benson ended up in grave danger and was physically attacked. Well, it turns out that when she broke her ankle and injured her knee in real life, her injuries were introduced into the storyline. Other spoilers indicted that the new season would guest star Ben Rappaport, Terry Serpico, and Octavio Pisano. Well, Octavia just got a promotion in the series.
Fans of Law & Order SVU also heard the bombshell news that Jamie Gray Hyder and Denmore Barnes would exit in the premiere episodes. Nobody saw that coming, and fans generally hate it when cast members leave any show. In this case, it seemed puzzling, as nothing in season 22 even hinted at them leaving. More often, fans get a big hint in the season finale. Well, they left, and that’s brought an opportunity for Octavio Pisano to increase his resume!
Law & Order SVU Octavia Pisano As Joe Velasco
Detective Joe Velasco formerly worked under Chief McGrath. As part of the team, he was involved in the takedown of Congressman Howard. Fans first saw the character in Season 23’s, “And the Empire Strikes Back” on September 23. In just three episodes, fans learned that he grew up in an abusive home. But, he seems very clued up. Additonally, news came that he seems secure in a more permanent position.
TVLine reported the news that Octavia Pisano got his promotion as a regular on Law & Order SVU. His past experience, as noted by Deadline, seems impressive. They reported, “Pisano starred alongside Michael Chiklis in the CBS All Access limited series Coyote. He was cast in the pilot for the New York Undercover reboot created by Dick Wolf and in Tyler Perry’s If Loving You Is Wrong. Pisano’s film credits include Ms. Purple directed by Justin Chon (Blue Bayou), Badsville, Powder & Gold and Smartass.”
