Royal Family News: Why Princess Beatrice Did Not Baptize Her Baby Alongside August And Lucas?

British royal family news shows that Sunday, November 21 was a historic day for the clan as not one, but two new members were baptized in a joint ceremony. August, who is nine months old, is the son of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, and Lucas who is one month younger and the son of Zara and Mike Tindall, were both baptized at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor.
This represents a milestone for the history books and there will be a big asterisk beside the story for the inclusion of another royal at the service–the two royal babies were christened in the presence of Queen Elizabeth.
Royal Family News – Queen Elizabeth Is Still In Power
Given that a first was forged with the dual baptism, some royal fans are wondering why there was not a third royal baby in the ceremony. Eugenie’s sister, Beatrice, recently had a baby girl, Sienna, also her first.
But Sienna is just two months old and that is a young age for such a big event. Still, the typical age at which royal babies are baptized is three to four months, so there is always the supposition that Beatrice simply wanted to have a ceremony devoted to just her daughter.
Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, were just barely older then Sienna when they were baptized so perhaps another baptism is soon to come.
Beatrice may be delaying Sienna’s christening due to COVID-19 restrictions. She and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi wed in 2020 in a small, socially distanced ceremony at The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor. The wedding had previously been planned to be an extravagant affair and maybe she would like to splurge on a christening seeing as how she had to curtail her wedding ceremony?
Royal Family News – Prince George And Prince Louis Are In Line To The Throne
And it may be that Sienna will wear the replica royal Honiton lace christening gown. The original was was made for Queen Victoria’s daughter in 1841 and several royals have worn it including Queen Elizabeth and her son Prince Charles and grandson Prince William.

Lady Louise Windsor was the last to wear it in 2004. As you might imagine the gown was by then not only well used but also in delicate condition so the Queen commissioned an exact which has been worn by Louise’s brother James, Viscount Severn.
The queen is the longest reigning UK monarch and currently in the midst of a health crisis so her presence was far from guaranteed at the recent christening.

How ridiculous. Babies are traditionally baptised at around six weeks. Two months is not too young at all.
