Camryn Manheim Joins Cast Of Law & Order Revival As Lt Van Buren’s Successor

Law & Order spoilers and updates tease that Camryn Manheim has joined the cast of NBC’s upcoming revival of Law & Order. The actress will take on the role of Lt. Kate Dixon, the successor of Lt. Anita Van Buren (S. Epatha Merkerson).

Law & Order Spoilers – Manheim Joins Jeffrey Donovan, Hugh Dancy

Manheim is set to star on the 21st season of the American crime drama that’s created by Dick Wolf. The revival is scheduled to premiere on February 24, 2022. Other main cast additions to the show include Jeffrey Donovan and Hugh Dancy.

Anthony Anderson will reprise his role as Detective Kevin Bernard. As for the character, DA Jack McCoy, fans still have to wait and see if Sam Waterston will reprise his role in the show.

Law & Order Spoilers – Why Is S. Epatha Merkerson Not Part Of The Show?

Fans may recall that Merkerson played the role of Lt. Van Buren from season 4 to season 40. She’s unfortunately not available to return to the show since she’s currently a regular cast member on another Dick Wolf series called Chicago Med.

Manheim isn’t new to Law & Order. She made a guest appearance on the show’s first season 30 years ago. She also landed two more guest stints, where he played different characters, in season 3 and season 4.

Manheim’s other acting credits include Stumptown, Waco, Ghost Whisperer, Person of Interest and Extant.

Law & Order Spoilers – Anthony Anderson Shares Behind-The-Scene Photos

Anderson has given fans a sneak-peek into the ongoing production of the show. In his Instagram post, the actor posted a behind the scene clip and wrote, “It’s official – day one in the books! After an 11 year hiatus, Detective Kevin Bernard is back for the 21st season of law and order! Let’s go!”

Anderson joined the show during its last three seasons, which aired from 2008 and 2010. He’s set to reprise his role after 11 years but reports say that he’ll only appear in one season of the Law & Order revival.

Law & Order Spoilers – Callum Donovan And Hugh Dancy Joins Law & Order

Meanwhile, Donovan, who’s known for his acting in Burn Notice, will play the role of a detective, who’s still yet to be named. As for Dancy, who’s famous for his stint on Hannibal, will also join the show. Dancy Is also set to appear in the second Downtown Abbey movie.
