Kim Kardashian has become famed for turning her reality TV show stardom into a popular shapewear brand, Skims. And conveniently, Kim herself often stars in her own social media promos, modeling everything from her bra brand to her underwear line. But now Kardashian finds herself on the losing end of starring in her lingerie promos.
Some Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s followers think that Kim copied Beyonce’s style for her new ads. Others argue that a secret collaboration might exist. So did Kardashian play Grinch rather than Santa for the holidays by stealing from Queen Bey or do an undercover collab? We’ve got both sides of the shapewear scandal below!
Kim Kardashian Wows In Shapewear Ads For Her Own Brand
First, let’s give credit to this 41-year-old mom of four (North, Chicago, Saint, and Psalm). Kim looks stunning in all her social media images. Even those revealing form-fitting shapewear pics show that Kardashian has maintained that famously tiny waist and curvy shape.
Second, those lingerie products that the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star created seem to have turned into successful sales. Just like her younger sister Kylie Jenner becoming the Cosmetics Queen, Kim appears to have turned herself into the Shapewear Success Story of the family. But with great fame comes great responsibility. And that means copying is a big no-no.
Twitter Debates – Slam ‘Copycat’ Kim Or Kudos On Beyonce Collab?
Kim didn’t need to wait long to get feedback on her newest shapewear promos. But we’re guessing that the remarks didn’t quite turn out to equal the praise she anticipated. Instead, Twitter hotly debated over whether Kardashian stole her looks from Beyonce or secretly collaborated with the superstar.
One photo posted by Kim fueled the Twitter debate. “Just dropped Skims all-in-one,” tweeted Kardashian. “Shop now at Skims.” But the photo accompanying that tweet, which starred Kim with crimped curly hair and over-sized hair, sparked a hot debate. To fans, that look resembled Queen Bey more than the reality TV queen.

“I definitely thought she was Beyoncé 🙄,” confessed one Twitter commentator. “She knew she was lookin like BEYONCÉ in that damn mirror,” chimed in another. And a third accused Kim of trying to copy Beyonce for years.
Kim Kardashian ‘Wants To Become Beyonce,’ Claim Fans!
As for exactly what made fans assume that Beyonce rather than Kim posed in that pic, one Twitter commentator even shared photos comparing the two. “You wanna be Beyoncè SO bad,” added another follower of the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star.

So is there any chance of a secret collaboration between Queen Bey and Kim rather than a copying scheme? It doesn’t seem likely for one simple reason. Social media followers don’t accuse Kardashian of stealing any of Beyonce’s own products. Instead, their fuss is all over the mirror-image looks, pointed out Us.
For instance, fans feel that Kim’s crimped, long hairstyle looks exactly like the luxurious locks that Queen Bey has flaunted for years. Add in those statement sunglasses that Beyonce often couples with her curly hair, and the confusion/copying debate seems understandable.
