When Bachelorette star Kaitlyn heard the news that arrived on January 11, she shared her feelings on Instagram. Originally, the news didn’t come from her. Rather, it came via his old wrestling coach at Illinois University. The Twitter post said, “It is with a heavy heart and a sense of profound loss that we announce the death of one of the Batavia Wrestling Program’s All-Time greats, 2005 graduate, Clint Arlis.”

The apparent mystery of how Clint died didn’t get any clearer when Kaitlyn spoke about it on Thursday this week. In her video, she said, “Alright, this is an Instagram Story I did not think I’d be doing tonight, but Clint, who was on my season…passed at 34 years old.“ Then she admitted, “I’m not sure what happened, how it happened.” The ABC star called his death a tragedy, and clearly feels sad about the news.

According to The Sun, the Bachelorette contestant “was an experienced architect and project manager with a bachelor’s and graduate degree from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.” He seemed to be young, fit, and strong, so it sounds right that his death should be investigated. The outlet confirmed that “the death is currently [under] investigation.”
