British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry once aired his thoughts about the experience of suddenly bumping into his grandmother, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth while in Buckingham Palace.

Have you ever thought what it would be like if you were on a tour and all of a sudden out from a corner comes the queen? According to Prince Harry it is quite an experience!

He spoke about the subject in a 2018 documentary about the Queen’s role as head of the commonwealth. Although he was raised around his grandmother, “he joked about feeling a sense of “panic” whenever he bumped into his grandmother in the hallways of Buckingham Palace,” according to the Mirror.

The HBO documentary is titled, Queen of the World, and in it Harry is seen talking to a group of hospitality professionals from the Caribbean who are staying at the palace in what must have been the trip of a lifetime. The prince, before he infamously flew the coup, told the group some sage advice and added that even he still “panics” when he sees the Queen—guilty conscience perhaps?

The cheeky prince said, “You guys have spent way more time in Buckingham Palace than I ever have – and you’ve only been here two weeks.”

He went on to ask, “Have you bumped into the Queen yet? If you suddenly bump into her in the corridor, don’t panic. I know you will. We all do!” Not only is she his elder, she is also, via the monarchy, his “boss” which is quite a situation to be in.

In the BBC’s 2016 Elizabeth At 90 tribute documentary he talked about how difficult it can sometimes be to think of the monarch as his gran.

Perhaps that is why he was able to seem so cavalier about abandoning the monarchy for a life of rich excess in America? He ran off from the UK to America with his wife Meghan Markle and lives in California with their children. A legal representative of the prince has said he wants to bring Lilibet and two-year-old son Archie to visit from the US but they are “unable to return to his home” because it is “too dangerous.” He gave no specifics, and it sounds like a very convenient excuse to not travel, if one were so inclined to think that way.

Harry has made the rash decision to sue over not receiving the same protection as the queen, even though he is in America and is no longer a working royal. His latest bizarre behavior has made him no more popular than he has been since defecting.
