“Coronation Street” spoilers have teased a heartbreaking moment for Toyah Battersby as she learns that Abi had given birth to a baby boy, which might reveal her husband’s one-night stand with the mechanic.

The long-running soap aired its shocking baby twist for Abi (Sally Carman) in its rare Sunday night episode. Abi has been spiraling down after her secret night with Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) was revealed.

The episode showed her husband Kevin (Michael Le Vell) would’ve wanted to make amendments, but she blew up her last chance when she got high on drugs with her dodgy friend, Dean (Anthony Crank).

Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Getting Cozy

Kevin saw the pair getting cozy on the sofa, which triggered him to demand Abi should leave the flat once and for all but Dean pocketed one of his keys and stole a customer’s car at the garage.

Abi tried to stop him but he was too fast and before she realized it, they were headed to the woods. However, they were stopped when Abi suffered in pain because she was experiencing contractions but Dean thought she was only high so he abandoned her on the streets.

ITV also released a thrilling new teaser trailer following Abi’s storyline, hinting that Toyah is closer to knowing the full truth. How will she react?

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – “Poor Woman”

ITV posted the trailer on Instagram with the caption: “We couldn’t launch into our new schedule without a bit of drama could we?!”

The teaser promised more drama starting with Abi’s hospital scene when a nurse tells her: “The man who brought you in said he found you by the side of the road, we need to get him or her out now.”

Abi looks like she’s out of her mind, in shock of what she’s hearing since she’s taken booze and drugs before her labor not knowing she’s 6-months pregnant.

The nurse Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw), who works in the hospital asks a colleague: “Tell me about this woman?” before a staff member reveals: “Gave birth and then did a runner.”

Toyah enters the scene looking troubled as she clarifies the news with Aggie: “This doctor said that Abi’s had a baby?” and a voice is heard saying: “Poor woman, God knows what state she must be in.”

This shocking plot might end tragically as Abi crashes a car with her face against the steering wheel’s airbag while being unconscious as shown in the last part of the clip.

Actress Sally Carman has revealed more details for the story and revealed that soon the couple Imran and Toyah will get involved in her legal fight to prove she can be a good mom to her son.

“She actually did try to push Toyah away. Toyah sees the opportunity to help Abi and recognizes that she really needs that help. Eventually, Abi lets her in, but it’s just horrendous because the more she trusts and bonds with Toyah, the harder it is to admit any of this,” Sally told Digital Spy.

“It’s a mess,” she teased.

How will Toyah handle the truth after extending grace to Abi and after forgiving Imran despite knowing that he cheated on her?
