2022 Razzie Awards: LeBron James, Jared Leto, Bruce Willis, And More Named ‘Worst’ Of The Year

The 42nd Golden Raspberry Awards were announced this weekend ahead of the Sunday’s 94th Annual Academy Awards. It was wholly focused on what the awards show considers to be the “worst” of the year.

LeBron James was nominated for worst actor and worst screen combo, as well as worst prequel, remake, rip-off, or sequel for his role in Space Jam. Space Jam revival received the second-highest number of awards, three, after being nominated in four categories altogether.

Jared Leto who played Paolo Gucci in House of Gucci won a Razzie Award for worst supporting actor in the movie House of Gucci, not minding that he has won an Oscar in the past. Ben Affleck who also got a Golden Globe nomination for best supporting actor for The Tender Bar was also not left out in the “worst,” as he was nominated for the worst supporting actor in The Last Duel.

Bruce Willis’ award was made a special category, as the Razzies pinpointed his worst performance out of the eight movies he did in 2021: Cosmic Sin, American Siege, Apex, Deadlock, Fortress, Midnight in the Switchgrass, Out of Death, and Survive the Game.

Worst Actor- Scott Eastwood for his role in Dangerous, Roe Hartrampf for playing Prince Charles in Diana: The Musical, Ben Platt for his role in Dear Evan Hansen, Mark Wahlberg for his role in Infinite.

Worst Supporting Actor- Nick Cannon for his role in The Misfits, Mel Gibson for the part he played in Dangerous, Gareth Keegan for playing James Hewitt, the muscle-bound horse trainer in Diana: The Musical

Worst Actress- Amy Adams for her role in The Woman in the Window, Jeanna de Waal in Diana: The Musical, Megan Fox for her role in Midnight in the Switchgrass, Taryn Manning for her role in Karen, and Ruby Rose for her role in Vanquish.

Worst Supporting Actress- Amy Adams for the part she played in Dear Evan Hansen, Sophie Cookson for her role in Infinite, Erin Davie as Camilla in Diana: The Musical, Judy Kaye as Both Queen Elizabeth and Barbara Cartland in Diana: The Musical, Taryn Manning in Every Last One of Them.

Worst Director- Christopher Ashley for Diana: The Musical (WINNER), Stephen Chbosky for Dear Evan Hansen, Daniels “Coke” for Karen, Renny Harlin for The Misfits, Joe Wright for The Woman in the Window.

Those that won the Razzie Redeemer Award

Will Smith was on top as the winner of the redeemer award for his work in King Richard, which has also earned him top honors at the BAFTAs, Critics’ Choice Awards, Golden Globes, NAACP Image Awards, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards, as well as a pending Oscar nomination.

Nicolas Cage – Also Won The Razzie Redeemer Award For His Performance In Pigs.
