Neighbours Spoilers: Amy Williams Takes A Turn For The Worse

Neighbours spoilers indicate that Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond) is struggling to cope with the fact that her son Jimmy will be living in America for 6 months with his father, Liam.

As a direct result of this Amy has taken up shoplifting – at first by mistake, but after experiencing the rush it gives her, the mistake has become a dangerous habit.

Neighbours spoilers show that Amy’s family soon become aware that something is not right with her, but they can’t figure out what she’s hiding from them. Rather than coming clean about stealing, she dodges the bullet by lying to them – pushing her deeper into a pit of lies; she instead tells her loved ones that she has turned to drink to deal with Jimmy’s departure.

Paul (Stefan Dennis) is shocked when he hears this and being the caring father that he is, decides that to act right away and find some support for Amy. He turns to Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) for advice, as she herself has struggled with drinking problems.

When Terese and Amy get together they end up having a heat-to-heart in which Terese is totally candid about her struggles with alcohol. When she revisits some old and clearly painful memories, Amy feels guilty for lying to everyone and leading Terese on in this way.

Amy can see a connection between Terese’s alcohol problems and her own issues, so promises to take all her advice on board, while also making a vow to ‘stop her nightly habit’.

At first it seems like Amy is considering stopping stealing after Tereses’ advice, but it soon becomes clear that she has no intentions of doing so. This is made clear when she once again hides a bundle of goodies that she’s stolen. Will Amy ever get caught in her lies?
