The Hallmark Channel ruled for years as a unique network, attracting beloved stars to its family-friendly shows. But then came competition. And the new GAC Family network has lured away many former Hallmark stars. As a result, fans wonder if anyone will stay loyal!
Find out which actors and actresses continue to commit to Hallmark. And see what some of them revealed on social media. Get all the details below!
Hallmark Channel Stars Debate Abandoning Network For GAC!
Stars such as Jen Lilley and Danica McKellar recently faced a major career decision. And that involved whether to stick with the Hallmark Channel or switch to the GAC Family network. But some stars have stayed loyal, noted Cheat Sheet.
However, in addition to Jen and Danica, Candace Cameron Bure inked a deal with the GAC Family. Since jump-starting its presence in September 2021, the new channel aims to compete with Hallmark. For instance, it focuses on “faith, family and country.”
But though some stars could not resist the lure of a shiny new network, many actors stayed loyal. And in all, nine stars decided that the tried and true benefits of Hallmark would keep them aboard the network’s ship. As a result, Hallmark’s famous upcoming Christmas season of specials should shine just as brightly in 2022!
Meet The Hallmark Stars Who Stayed Loyal
Hallmark Channel star Jonathan Bennett became known for “Mean Girls.” And he earned a place in Hallmark’s history books for his role in the channel’s first film starring an LGBTQ couple, “The Christmas House.” Joining Jonathan is Luke MacFarlane. The actor inked a contract for several films. And his resume includes Hallmark film favorites such as Maggie’s Christmas Miracle, A Birthday Wish, Christmas Land, and A Valentine’s Match.

But the list of stars staying loyal doesn’t just consist of male stars. For instance, Heather Hemmens will star in a variety of films for the Hallmark Channel. Recently, Heather appeared in Caribbean Summer.
And Aimeé Teegarden also numbers among the actresses loyal to Hallmark. Her resume includes Once Upon a Christmas Miracle. Likewise, Lacey Chabert signed a deal with Hallmark’s parent company, Crown Media. And fans can watch for Lacey to both executive produce and star in the network’s upcoming movie list.
Hallmark Stars Gush Gratitude To Network!
Other Hallmark fan faves include Taylor Cole, who shared her pride in her Hallmark contract on Instagram. “I’ve never been more proud to be a part of the @hallmarkchannel family. Forever growing together,” wrote Cole. And popular actor Andrew Walker agrees with her. His many Hallmark films include My Christmas Family Tree and The 27-Hour Day.
However, Taylor doesn’t stand alone in gushing over her loyalty to Hallmark. For instance, Holly Robinson Peete inked a Crown Media contract promising her holiday films will stay on the Hallmark Channel. And she wrote on Instagram, “So excited about this!!! Thank you to everyone at @hallmarkchannel.” Brennan Elliott, known for starring in Hallmark’s Cedar Cove series, also discussed his loyalty. And the actor called it “a dream to have worked with the wonderfully creative and supportive team at Hallmark over the years.”

Hallmark should have done more to keep their stars
Bring back all the mysteries I started watching Hallmark for
Hallmark movies are THE BEST
I am happy with the stars who stayed loyal to Hallmark. I do think they should do the Christian thing and bring back Lori Laughlin since she served her time. The shows she was on were popular and could continue to grow, While GAC was able to pull popular stars. I am not a fan of people jumping ship as they did. I never watched GAC and have no interest in watching it. I think Hallmark has made some bad calls on ending some shows. I still watch Hallmark for the feel good shows they have on. I do think they could do with a few cooking shows around holidays that could appeal to many people.
I don’t think we should have to choose TV because of religious issues. If you don’t like subject, change channel. The other channel hired a person who served prison time. I don’t get it.
