Chrisley Knows Best stars Todd And Julie Chrisley used to enjoy spending $300,000 each year on their carefully chosen wardrobe. But then came their prison sentences. And now the Chrisley family patriarch and matriarch will need to get accustomed to prison attire.
How did Todd and Julie go from their indulging in their extravagant lifestyle to anticipating years behind bars? Alleged lies and financial misconduct caused their house of cards to collapse. Get all the details below.
Chrisley Knows Best Debut – Todd Flaunts $300,000 Style Budget
What a difference nearly 10 years can make! When Chrisley Knows Best debuted in 2014, Todd specialized in bragging. For instance, the supposed real estate wizard showed off his perfectly organized closet.
And he boasted that his family shelled out $300,000 every year on their wardrobes. However, that wardrobe sequence set the stage for Todd and Julie to flaunt their extravagant lifestyle on Chrisley Knows Best, noted CNN.
But a fast forward to now shows that Todd and Julie got a reality check about their alleged crimes. And in June, the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch and matriarch received guilty verdicts. The two allegedly formed a conspiracy that defrauded banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans and evading taxes.
As a result of those verdicts, Todd and Julie received sentences to federal prisons. But on her podcast, Julie insisted that she believes her conviction represents part of her journey. “I have been really reading and praying and praying with my prayer partner and believing that the journey that we’re all on, that there is a reason. There is a purpose,” shared the Chrisley Knows Best matriarch.
Julie And Todd Chrisley – Will Spend Combined 19 Years In Prison
However, both Todd and Julie Julie Chrisley maintain their innocence. But that didn’t change Todd’s 12-year prison sentence and Julie’s 7-year prison sentence. And when those years behind bars end, each will spend three years on probation.
But their plan to appeal could make some changes to those sentences. However, for now, each Chrisley Knows Best star must report to a Florida prison to start their lives behind bars. And it will take quite an adjustment from the luxury for which they became famous.
As a result, Todd has sought to put a positive spin on his future. And on his podcast, he declared, “True growth comes at the deepest part of the pain. I believe that the harder it gets, the closer to God we need to cling.”
After Todd and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to a combined total of 19 years in federal prison Monday, the future of "Chrisley Knows Best" hangs in the balance as the network plans to rollout several season 10 episodes in 2023 https://t.co/jvGHqnfbBQ

Chrisley Knows Best – Will Air Shortened Season 10 In 2023
However, even as Chrisley Knows Best debuted, Todd and Julie faced financial concerns, according to prosecutors. But the Chrisley Knows Best stars refuse to admit to those charges of bank fraud and tax evasion. And Todd has insisted that he doesn’t need to hide anything.
The federal trial revealed the government’s claims that the Chrisley Knows Best stars faked their earnings to banks. And they borrowed more than $30 million. But they then could not pay back that money. And prosecutors claimed Todd and Julie hid millions in income from the IRS. They also did not file tax returns from 2013 to 2016.
As for where fans can look in the future? All the shows chronicling the Chrisley family got cancelled. However, USA Network will broadcast a short season 10 of Chrisley Knows Best this year.
