Jen Shah Must Go To Mental Health Program After Prison

Jen Shah recently received her prison sentence. But the Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) star won’t finish paying for her crimes after that sentence ends. And a new report reveals that Shah must head to a mental health treatment program.

Jen Shah – Must Attend Mental Health Treatment After Prison

As a result of her highly publicized court case, Jen Shah’s followers assumed that she would finish her punishment after 6 and a half years. But documents reveal new information about the Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City star’s future. And the documentation shows that Jen must head to a mental health treatment program after she does her time behind bars, reported Page Six.

However, Shah also will remain under supervised release for five years after her prison sentence. And during that five-year period, the Real Housewives star will take part in the mental health program. However, the documents also offer details about Shah’s prescription medication.

And the court ruled that Shah, 49, must keep taking her prescribed drugs after her release from prison. But she can stop taking the medication if a doctor approves it. In addition, a probation officer will supervise the Real Housewives star. And that official must approve the mental health treatment that Jen decides seems right for her.

Jen Shah – Must Undergo Drug Testing After Prison

However, the Real Housewives star also will face drug testing at intervals after she leaves prison. For instance, Shah will need to go for drug tests about two weeks after she gets out from behind bars. And she will need to undergo a minimum of two more drug tests at intervals that the court determines.

But financially, Jen also will literally pay a price for her crimes. And she must make installment payments toward her restitution. Those payments must equal 15 percent of her gross income.

Prior to her sentence, the Real Housewives star went on a verbal apology tour. And she shared her regrets to her victims. “I am sorry. My actions have hurt innocent people. I want to apologize by saying, I am doing all I can to earn the funds to pay restitution,” said Shah in court.

However, the Real Housewives star at first claimed that she would battle her telemarketing scheme charges. And she repeatedly stated on camera that she faced unfair charges. But then Shah switched to a guilty plea. And she admitted to the scam that took money from thousands of individuals, primarily elderly. Jen will head to a federal prison in Texas on February 17 to surrender.
