Riley Keough, Lisa Marie Presley’s Daughter, Had A Secret Child With Husband Ben Smith-Petersen

It was a shocking moment for fans when, during Lisa Marie Presley‘s Graceland memorial, Ben Smith-Petersen read a letter written by wife Riley that made mention of a daughter.

This is the first public hint that the 33-year-old actress and her husband are parents.

Riley Keough is a mom and several media outlets are predicting that she welcomed a baby girl sometime last year. She was also seemingly photographed with her as she arrived in Memphis, TN, ahead of her mother’s memorial service.

Apart from the coulda-woulda-shoulda sighting, Riley’s husband Ben also made reference to a daughter as he read a letter penned by her in tribute to her mom.

“Thank you for showing me that love is the most important things in this life. I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me,” Ben read from the note at the solemn gathering.

The couple are yet to publicly issue a statement since reports of them sharing a secret daughter started circulating.

Riley Keough and the Australian-born Ben met in the process of filming “Mad Max: Fury Road” in 2012. In 2013, she was back in Australia doing reshoots. By the time 2014 came round, they were already engaged. In 2015, the couple tied the knot.

Prior to their legal wedding, the couple had a wedding ceremony in Nepal, where they were helping to build a school. “The families knew we were getting married and they said, ‘Let us throw you a Hindu wedding,’ ” Riley recalled in an essay for Vogue Australia in 2022. “It was so beautiful and, in some ways, that wedding was a little more intimate and really special. That wedding, I cried. At my bigger wedding I was a little nervous, I wasn’t as present. But it was still equally as amazing,”

“My husband is such a good person,” she also said of the stuntman. “He’s calm and loyal and strong and sensitive. He’s my best friend.”
