Jon And Kate Gosselin’s 22-year-old Daughter Addresses “Extremely Harmful” Online Trolling

Mady, the daughter of Jon and Kate Gosselin, has truly grown since their reality TV show debuted sixteen years ago. On Feb. 4, she hopped on TikTok to call out haters, especially after one commenter talked about “triangulation” and a “wedge” between the family.

Captioning the TikTok video that has quickly went viral, she wrote: “Replying to @slagathor42 i’ve been getting hate mail since i was 6 but that doesn’t mean you need to keep sending it. learn how to respect people’s boundaries and practice kindness. i bet your life will be so much more enjoyable because of it!”

In the video, the reality star explained the reason she has decided to address this one hater and how “extremely harmful” their comment was.

“This is the singular time I’m going to address this because it is sending me over the edge,” Mady began. “The rhetoric in so many of my comments about childhood trauma and healing and whatever you want to say about my family, my life, my parents, whatever is not your business.”

She added that this applies to everyone else in the world, and that people should learn to mind their business. “As is the case with every other person in the entire world, it is not anybody else’s business what they are dealing with behind closed doors if they don’t want it to be your business,” the former TV personality turned content creator explained.

Mady went on to point out the harmful effects of tagging her and her siblings as “crazy child stars” as they become adults. “Perpetuating the narrative that we are damaged or that we are crazy child stars or whatever you want to say is extremely harmful as myself and my siblings are going out into the world and will be functioning members of society with careers,” Mady continued. “There seems to be a public consensus that if you’re in the public eye, your entire life belongs to the public and that is in no way true.”

Out of the eight children, Mady, who is a fraternal twin, is the eldest. The rest are sextuplets. In 2009, her parents divorced. However, even after their reality show ended, the drama surrounding their family didn’t cease, as Collin accused their father of abuse in November last year.
