Since Corinthos’s romance with Nina and time in Nixon Falls, fans have seen a “softer” side of Sonny, versus the no-nonsense mobster Sonny of the past. But is that all about to change?

While on Twitter recently, the actor who plays Sonny, Maurice Benard, replied to a GH fan’s tweet about the “real” Sonny returning. Benard notes in this post that, “Sonny’s coming” back, “slowly, but surely”.

I hope the real Sonny comes back and dumps Nina, I don’t like them together!
I will miss Sonny and Nina. However, it will be great having Sonny, the Mobster back. I hope Sonny finds out that Michael and Dex have been working together. It will be interesting to see how the Monster, Sonny will react to the betrayal instead of Sonny, the father. Maybe Nina will be comforted by her friend Curtis. Sonny needs a new woman, NOT Carly. AND by the way, it’s NOT Carly Corinthos anymore, it’s Carly Spencer.

Well Sonny is well rounded with the softer side and the tuff side he has walked in for years ,I think it will bring out a more balance of how he takes care of things not soft and not a killer but the mob and Dex and Micheal will know not ever think they could mess with Sonny and try to take him down , Sonny will succeed in taking them all down with no blood on his hand….Nina and Sonny stay together
When the real Sonny finally emerges he will turn to Carly where it’s heart truly lies, and turn on Nina if he thinks she’s the one behind Carly’s arrest. He’ll also get the metro court back for her, and be back in her bed. Nina better watch out.

Nina needs to watch her step when it comes to Carly. Sonny let her buying the Metro Court slide because she tried to give it back to Carly, but if she’s responsible for Carly going to jail, she might as well gather up all her stuff at the penthouse and go quietly into the night.
I hope that the real Sonny does come back, and Nina sees him for who he really is. Michael better watch his back. Trying to take down his step-dad could prove futile. And Nina trying to put Carly in jail. She might be the one going to jail for one thing or another.
I stop watching GH when they changed Sonny and put him with Nina they don’t work for me, but Carly and Sonny that works. Putting Sonny back to the way he was but better with Carly and not Nina
