General Hospital Spoilers: Drew’s Trip Out of Town Setting Stage for Carly and Sonny to Fall Back in Love?

General Hospital spoilers hint Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is about to fall off the map, and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is about to fall in love — with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Drew’s trip out of town to assist Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in taking down Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is going to end up taking much longer than Drew anticipated.

Carly will have to find some way to keep herself busy, and that won’t be hard to figure out when Sonny calls her — from jail! As Carly steps in to man Sonny’s ship while he’s in lock-up, things are going to get interesting.

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Reeves Is Pushed To The Side, Then Out

Sonny had a close call last week when a sniper tried to take him out. He’s not going to take any chances by letting his loved ones circle around him right now. He needs to know his children and their mothers are safe, and that same concern extends to his girlfriend, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

However, Nina was left feeling like Sonny was operating by a different set of rules for Carly when she showed up at his penthouse and found them together, clearly discussing something serious that she wasn’t allowed to be privy to. The longer Drew is out of town, the more worried Nina will become that Carly is getting too close to Sonny — and rightfully so.

GH Spoilers – Suggest Sonny Corinthos Takes Center Stage In Carly Spencer’s Life

Sonny is at serious risk right now and it has little to do with his life. Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is working with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to take Sonny’s enterprise down, eradicated him from Port Charles and throwing him behind bars for the rest of his life.

With Sonny locked up for an extended stay in Pentonville, Carly will feel obligated to step up and hold down the fort with the business and the five families. They might be separated by bars, but this is going to leave Sonny and Carly feeling like they are back in familiar territory, much like they were when they were at their best as husband and wife.
