Real Housewives cast members recently have joined other celebrities flaunting suspiciously rapid weight loss. And with weight loss medications in the news, these celebs face two choices. First, they can deny that they ever used or even heard of weight loss drugs. And second, they can get honest.
For Real Housewives Of New Jersey (RHONJ) star Margaret Josephs, honesty seems like the best policy. And so the RHONJ star shared that she did not use diet and exercise to lose 22 pounds. However, Josephs revealed the drugs she used to achieve her newly slim body. Get all the details below.
Real Housewives Spoilers -Star Margaret Josephs Uses Drugs For Weight Loss
Real Housewives Of New Jersey star Margaret Josephs feels proud that she slimmed down. But the RHONJ star didn’t hesitate to share that dieting and exercising don’t deserve credit for her 22-pound weight loss. And instead, Margaret took peptides and underwent hormonal replacement therapy for what Josephs called a “life-changing” experience. “And it’s not about being fat or skinny,” added the RHONJ star. “It’s about every aspect of my wellness coming together.” However, Margaret emphasized via Page Six that she sought health as her main goal rather than weight loss.
“I wanted to feel healthy and get my body to a place where I’m supposed to be,” shared the RHONJ star. And she added, “I feel so lucky to have found something that’s really working for me.” But the 55-year-old Josephs also admitted that she reached a turning point in her life that made her seek medical help.
In the past few years, Margaret felt increasingly challenged to maintain her weight. And the RHONJ star described “working out, eating healthy, running around all the time and nothing” helped. As a result, Josephs felt “tired and sluggish.” She also suffered from “brain fog.”

Real Housewives Spoilers – Star’s Physician Assistant Shares Her Medications
In an interview, Margaret’s physician assistant Jamie Gabel PA-C revealed the details of the wellness program that he created for the Real Housewives star. It included hormone replacement, peptides, and a mixture of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). Gabel explained that GLP-1 is used to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity. And GLP-1 receptor Semaglutide is commonly sold under the names Wegovy, Rybelsus and Ozempic.
However, although some Hollywood celebs use Ozempic as a rapid weight loss drug, Josephs did not share if she has used that exact medication. And Gabel warned that such medications can result in “gastrointestinal-related” side effects like constipation and nausea. But Josephs feels delighted with her weight loss success.
“I’m 126 pounds now, give or take a pound depending on the day,” gushed Margaret. “And I haven’t been that weight since I got married the first time in 1994.” As a result, she feels that the combination of drug therapy proved “the right cocktail for me.” In addition to weight loss, the RHONJ star shared that she sleeps better and enjoys higher levels of energy.
