Well, if he were to be there, things would look a little different. Royal Family News suggests that King Charles has absolutely no plans to acknowledge his grandson Archie’s birthday, which happens to fall on the same day as his coronation.

While Prince Harry will make the trip to London to honor his father on what will be a very special day for his reign, his wife Meghan Markle, and their two children Archie and Lilibet, are staying behind. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

According to a new report, there are no plans to toast his grandson Archie during his coronation lunch. That might be because Harry will likely already be on a plane back to Los Angeles as he is looking to reunite with his family on the same day as the coronation.

One insider close to the situation said, “The King considered a toast to Archie. But with no member of the Sussex family now due at the lunch, it is highly unlikely he would do in their absence.”

Just last week it was reported that only the Duke of Sussex would be attending the festivities. A spokesperson for the Sussexes released a statement that said, “Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the coronation service at Westminster Abbey on May 6. The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.”

A separate report has suggested that Kate told members of the royal family that Meghan Markle should sit in the back of Westminster Abbey and nowhere near other senior members of the monarchy.

Not only that, but she also found it difficult to be near the Duchess of Sussex during the Windsor walkabout shortly after Queen Elizabeth’s death back in September.
