The movie reunites Alison Sweeney with Cameron Mathison and Barbara Niven and is coming to Sleuthers’ screens in May 2023. While some Hallmark mysteries are ending, Hannah Swenson isn’t going anywhere. In fact, Hallmark just announced details of the upcoming movie, Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swenson Mystery. The tasty treat will see Alison Sweeney, Cameron Mathison and Barbara Niven reunite to solve the mystery of a discovered skeleton.

According to the official synopsis, the discovery of a skeleton in the rubble of a building undergoing renovation, reveals that one of Lake Eden’s beloved citizens is not who he claims to be.

Meanwhile, much to the dismay of her fiancé, Detective Mike Kingston (Cameron Mathison), Hannah (Alison Sweeney) starts to investigate the case on her own. Moreover, as she tries to piece together the events that led to the murder and to learn the victim’s true identity, Hannah even calls on her mother Delores (Barbara Niven) to help her to bring the murderer to justice and uncover the truth.

Alison Sweeney plays the role of Hannah and is known for her former role in Days of Our Lives, as well as many Hallmark movies, including The Wedding Veil trilogy. Meanwhile, Cameron Mathison, who plays the role of Mike, has starred in General Hospital and a number of Hallmark movies, including the Hannah Swensen mysteries. Barbara Niven also returns as Delores Swensen and is known for her roles in Chesapeake Shores and North To Home. Moreover, Gabriel Hogan returns to the cast as Norman Rhodes and has been seen in Heartland and Tacoma FD.

According to the official IMDb page, Daylin Willis stars as Deputy Lonny and is known for starring in Romance In Style and The Good Doctor. Also starring is Danny Wattley, who was previously seen in Roadhouse Romance and Paper Angels. Julia Benson also stars in the movie and has previously starred in Dying For Chocolate.

The movie is directed by Pat Williams from a script by Salmons, based on the Joanne Fluke novel, Carrot Cake Murder.
