Jamie Foxx Finally Speaks Out After Suffering Medical Emergency

Three weeks after the “Spiderman: No Way Home” actor’s daughter Corrine Foxx made an unexpected announcement that her dad Jamie Foxx suffered a medical emergency, the actor finally broke his silence.

Jamie is filled with gratitude to his fans and well-wishers for all their love and support. He took to his Instagram account on Wednesday, May 3, to post, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”

Jamie, 55, didn’t fail to “appreciate” his friend Nick Cannon for filling in for him on his “Fox show Beat Shazam,” to Nick he said, “Appreciate ya my boy @nickcannon see u all soon.”

On Wednesday, April 12, Corrine, 29, took to her Instagram to break her dad’s medical news to the world, “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers.”

She went on to tell her followers that her family seeks the utmost privacy.

Following the “Day Shift” actor’s medical news, so many celebrities offered their support to their fellow star. Stars like his fellow comedian and actor Martin Lawrence.

The following week after the news, Martin told “Extra” on Thursday, April 20 that Jamie was “doing better.” Martin went on to say, “My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him, one of the best that we got in Hollywood, not only one of the best entertainers, but a good person.”

Two days later, the star of “Love Don’t Cost A Thing” Nick Cannon shared an update on Jamie’s condition, “Man, I’m praying. I literally have been saying prayers out loud. Words of affirmation for my big brother. He’s awake. They say he’s alert.”

Prior to his health news, Jamie, who is also dad to Annalise Bishop, 13, with Kristin Grannis was caught on camera in Atlanta while on the set of his upcoming Netflix film “Back in Action.”

The film will mark Cameron Diaz’s first movie since appearing in Annie with Jamie in 2014. Cameron’s return to acting after retiring is all thanks to Jamie who convinced her to give it one more go.

The news that Cameron will come out of retirement and go back to acting came out last year. The announcement was made via Jamie’s social media on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

Jamie posted an audio recording of a phone call between himself, Cameron, and Tom Brady, as Jamie had enlisted the help of his NFL GOAT buddy to reassure the Charlie’s Angel’s vet she’s ready to get back in the game!

Jamie had captioned his post, “Cameron I hope you aren’t mad I recorded this, but no turning back now. Had to call in the GOAT to bring back another GOAT. @CameronDiaz and I are BACK IN ACTION – our new movie with @NetflixFilm Production starting later this year!!”

The audio clip says: “I was talking to Jamie, and he said you needed a few tips on how to unretire,” Tom told Cameron after Jamie patched him through on the call.

“And I am relatively successful and unretiring,” he added, referencing his return to football after announcing his retirement earlier this year. Cameron replied, “Honestly, exactly what I needed.”

Confirming the news, Diaz posted on her Instagram story: “Jamie Foxx, only you could get me back in action!!! I can’t frickin wait it’s gonna be a blast!”
