Below Deck Fans Launch Cheers For Kate Chastain’s First Baby!

Below Deck fans have missed Kate Chastain since the popular chief stew left the series. However, Kate recently appeared on the reality competition show, Traitors. And she also stays in touch with fans through social media. 

As a result, Chastain’s fans have eagerly awaited the birth of her child. And now the Below Deck fan fave has shared the news. Find out the birth of the baby and the little one’s name below. 

Below Deck – Alum Kate Chastain Welcomes Baby!

Welcome to the world, newest member of the Below Deck family! Turning to Instagram, Below Deck alum Kate Chastain posted a precious photo of her new baby. And Kate revealed both the baby’s gender and the name, noted Page Six.

“Hard Launch: Sullivan Cay,” wrote the 40-year-old Below Deck alum for the caption of her Instagram pic. Chastain first confirmed that she had become pregnant in December 2022. And she shared on social media at the time, “I’m already planning so many birthday theme parties for you.” 

Because Kate knew that the reality TV competition show, Traitors, would show her pregnancy, she made the decision to share her baby bump ahead of time. However, Chastain also then faced the inevitable speculation about her baby’s father. But Kate kept that secret to herself. 

And during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the Below Deck alum offered some clues. “I’m doing it solo,” shared Kate. “And perhaps with some help,” she added. “But I’m happy to do it alone. I think being a chief stew really trained me for it.”

‘Below Deck’ – Alum Kate Chastain Moves To ‘Land Role’

Kate starred on Below Deck from season two to season seven. And during that time, Chastain enjoyed several romances, including her Below Deck co-star, Chef Ben Robinson. However, Kate has stayed silent about her romantic life since her pregnancy.

But the former Below Deck chief stew lived up to her reputation for sarcastic humor on Instagram. And she wrote, “After many months of reflection and internal discussions, I have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new land based role.” Teasingly referring to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping back from their royal family roles, Kate added, “I intend to step back as a senior member of the Below Deck Family.” And she promised to “work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support His Majesty Andy Cohen.”

As a result of her witty comments on Instagram, Kate’s fans follow her faithfully. And they united in cheering for the arrival of her baby boy. Reddit fans gushed over the baby’s adorable face. For instance, one wrote, “Omg I work with newborns for career and this guy has one of the best baby faces I’ve seen. He came out KNOWING.” 

And another fan added, “I worked in infant care for a long time too and I gotta say. You are correct. And the face in this pic is truly priceless. This is Kate’s kid allllll the way!!” Several pointed out that the baby already looks like Kate. And one noted that the infant looks like “he has a sarcastic quip ready and he just needs to learn how to talk.”
