The news of 1000-Lb. Sisters star Amy Slaton’s split from Michael Halterman surfaced after she moved to her sister Tammy Slaton’s house along with her kids. However, it seems like now the mother of two is back in her house in Kentucky that she bought along with Michael in July 2021 for $37K. Michael Halterman – Isn’t Living In The Kentucky House Anymore.

If reports are to be believed, Michael isn’t living in the Kentucky house anymore. He has now moved out and lived with her mother. Ever since the father of two was slapped with a DV charge by Amy, the two haven’t been on talking terms.

Moreover, recently the former couple was spotted with TLC cameras at the Kentucky courthouse, where several issues like their kids’ custody were discussed. While sharing his side of the story and asking for his kids’ custody, Michael explained that he is currently living at his mother’s home alongside his siblings.

Furthermore, he added that his living condition isn’t as good because his mother’s three-bedroom house is already completely occupied, and he has to make do with sleeping on the couch.

During the scheduled visit on weekends, his kids sleep with his mother. However, given this cramped living condition, at the courthouse, Amy expressed her concern regarding Gage and Glenn’s safety.

Michael explained that he is equally concerned about his kids’ safety, and his mother steps in as a guardian if he ever has to be away from home for any urgent obligations.

However, Michael is now aiming for joint custody of Glenn and Gage so that he can have them whenever he wishes to, as opposed to just on the weekends.

Michael had already planned a timetable for the kids to be with him for 4 days for the month’s first week, followed by three the next week, and so on. However, Slaton didn’t agree with this proposal claiming that her kids would find this schedule confusing.

While no decision regarding custody has been made yet, the court documents do have an RO in place. As per the civil RO, no contact among the couple is permitted except for the terms listed in their private contract.

However, they can surely communicate via call or text to discuss things regarding the parenting of their kids, Glenn and Gage.
