Royal Family News: Prince William “Dominated” Kate As A “Naughty Child” In Jordan

British royal family news has one royal expert calling out Prince William for rudeness toward his wife while they represented the monarchy in another country.

Is this an example of the infamous temper that his brother Prince Harry claims rules William? Normally William the Prince of Wales is the picture of composure in public so let’s dissect that this drama is all about!

The royal couple were among the VIPs and dignitaries in Jordan for the wedding of Princess Rajwa. And, it’s alleged that William cut his wife off midsentence by saying “chop chop” to Princess Kate as she exchanged pleasantries with the bride.

But wait, there’s more! According to Marie Claire,” William also threw in a hand gesture which looked meant to hurry Kate along” and body language expert Judi James was not impressed.

James told Express “This is not one of [William’s] finest moments when it comes to either body language or words.” She is referring to the moment that Kate is speaking to Rajwa after William finished speaking to her and her groom Prince Hussein.

James stated that Kate the Princess of Wales seemed to ignore her husband’s boorish behavior and added “it has to be said that his behavior is overly dominant here, with his critical parent behavior putting her firmly in the implied role of naughty child.”

Royal Family News: Was Kate Rude?

While James thinks William was rude, could he have simply wanted to keep the flow of guests going and not create a bottleneck? That may very well have been the case but James thinks that there were other ways that William could have handled it.

She said “He could have walked back to stand beside his wife and used a subtle tie sign, like a small pat of the waist or back. Most couples have subtle rituals that they use to communicate silently in public that don’t entail any obvious impatience and the Waleses are normally very adept at these techniques.”

One thing is for sure, and that is that this example of indelicate behavior is the exception and not the norm for this elegant couple who one day will be the UK’s King and Queen Consort!
