Reports suggest that the Prince of Wales supposedly accepted a cash settlement from the British tabloids. According to Newsweek, Prince Harry had revealed that his brother settled a phone hacking claim against Rupert Murdoch’s company out of court.

Along with journalist Tom Bradby, Prince William played a role in exposing a phone hacking case against one of the most powerful media companies in the world.

Back in April, one tweet from an account called @brokenbottleboy even suggested that William might have pocketed some cash from the scandal. The Twitter user wrote, “Prince William took hush money. There’s so much more to this. He and Kate are also complicit with the Mail; that’s why they are so easy with those papers publishing calendars full of pictures of their children.”

Of course, many royal fans and critics alike have had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some went as far as to write comments such as, “It is so twisted and shameful that so many people hate Prince Harry so much that they are not actually hearing what he is saying.

No media corporation in the world should have the right or ability to hack your phones,” along with, “Prince William donated the settlement to good causes.This is not a criminal case but a civil case. If he wins and with evidence he should, I hope H will also donate all proceeds to charity. I hope with hindsight Harry realizes that his book is similar to the gutter press sensationalism he hates.”

Prince William Has No Comment About The Matter

Another critic wrote, “I hope if Harry wins and is awarded significant damages he donates it all to charity such as mental health, anti bullying, veterans, etc and provides receipts. That will show it wasn’t about money.”
