In the previous episodes of the longest-running soap, Eliza got to meet her grandfather for the first time when Stu reconnected with his daughter, Bridget. The old man lost contact with his family when he stayed in jail for a crime he never did. One day, the long-lost daughter stepped foot in prison after she came clean about Charlie’s bloody death.

Due to her mom’s situation, Eliza must live with her grandfather in the cobbles. At first, the newcomer got a hard time fitting in and even experienced bullying from her school. As a result, she enrolled at Weatherfield High and gained a friend in Sam Blakeman. Eliza also tried to bond with Hope Stape but the latter found it annoying due to her jealousy over Sam.

In the upcoming scenes of “Coronation Street,” Eliza gets secretive to her grandfather after knowing about her mom moving into another prison. Having the idea of seeing Bridget less, the young lady starts to connect with a mystery man online. During the summer holidays, she tells Stu and Yasmeen about the holiday club that she desires to join. The two think that the activity might be a good idea so they allow Eliza to go.

However, things get worse when Stu finds out that the holiday club is not existing. The worried grandfather begins to look for the young lady, but he cannot find her anywhere. As he is about to go to the police station, he spots Eliza talking to a strange man who turns out to be her dad, Dom Everett.
