Sure, she’s in a steamy romance with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), but she recently admitted that she’s not in love. She also admitted that she’s not “good” at love. Is Vicky just settling at this point?

Y&R spoilers imply that Vic may be indifferent to Nate. Sure, they have great chemistry at work and in the bedroom; however, by admitting that she isn’t “in love” means that she’s not willing to put her heart on the line.

Who could blame her? She’s had nothing but failed relationships over the years. From Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan), and more recently the disaster of a romance with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman), as well as JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill).

It seems as if the only two men that she may have had a long-lasting love with have passed away; those being Ryan McNeil (Scott Reeves) and Brad Carlton (Don Diamont). She’s exerting hopelessness because she may feel hopeless.

Vic has done some terrible things recently. Seducing Nate away from their girlfriend Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) was one bad thing, but also gaslighting her brother Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is another.

Not to mention the fact that she vehemently won’t give her other brother Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) a break. Still, as a strong woman in Genoa City who wasn’t always a cold-hearted snake, she still deserves real love and romance.

Perhaps her back-to-back abusive relationships with Ashland and JT took a harder toll on her than she’s willing to admit.

She clearly doesn’t want to place her heart on the line and for good reason. Is there hope for Vicky in the love department? Only time will tell.
