A lot of eagle-eyed fans noticed that the Duchess of Sussex has not been wearing her engagement band each time she’s been spotted out and about. Could there be a reason behind it? Here’s what you need to know.

Why Did Meghan Markle Take Off Her Engagement Ring?

If there’s anything that we’ve learned about Meghan Markle over the years, it’s that she’s all about the details. It’s very rare that she would miss one at all.

Just last week she was spotted running her errands in Montecito. Underneath her wool coat (which she wore in the California heat), many people spotted an anti-stress patch called NuCalm that the duchess wore in clear view of the cameras.

Some people think that was Meghan’s subtle way of advertising the brand.

However, there was another interesting detail that was missed from Meghan’s outfit that day: her engagement band.

One person who noticed write away was Australia royal reporter Daniela Elser. She wrote a column for News.com.au that said, “Amid the frenzy whenever the Duchess is Sussex is pictured out and about, most of us missed an interesting detail hidden in her choice of accessories – or, more accurately, lack thereof.”

She continued, “In every outing since at least May, it appears that Meghan has opted not to wear her stunning diamond engagement ring, first beamed around the world in late 2017 on the day she and Prince Harry announced they would be getting married.

However, she has continued to wear her wedding band, and also appears to occasionally layer it with a different, thicker gold ring.”

Of course, now everyone from here to Sydney wants to know why Meghan has not been wearing her engagement band. Is she getting it refitted? Did she lose it? Or is Prince Harry getting her an upgraded diamond? Curious minds want to know!

But if Meghan is still wearing her wedding ring, that’s at least one sign that suggests royal critics need to calm down a bit on all of those divorce rumors.
