Meghan Markle Upstaged Invictus Athletes With Pricey Outfits

British royal family news divulges that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making a remarkable effort to overshadow the wounded military athletes at the Invictus Games in Germany. Once Meghan got there (late) coverage is less about the honorable athletes and all about the diva.

Now, some sources think that the couple’s hogging of the limelight is an appalling breach of courtesy.

In 2014 Harry founded the Invictus Games. It is an international athletic competition for wounded, injured and sick soldiers and veterans.

According to Page Six, “the competition series highlights the heroes who serve and protect – and Harry and Markle have played an integral role in bringing the event together.”

Many are complaining that their thirst is taking away the spotlight from the deserving athletes. And these critics aren’t having it.

As one commentator noted “Here is yet another story put forward by the relentless Markle PR that seeks to do nothing but cause more divisiveness between Harry and his family.

It never ends with her nonsense – even when she says she wants to “lead with love,” she’s leads with hate and malice. It’s so predictable and so incredibly cruel.”

Why was Meghan at the Invictus Games?

Another commentator wrote: “As well, how many times does Harry need to be reminded that if it weren’t for his brother and father bankrolling this event in the beginning – along with his famous Royal lineage that brought massive publicity surrounding the event – the Invictus Games would likely never exist?”

An insider told The Telegraph “The athletes find it bizarre but don’t want to get caught up in the royal crossfire.”

Athletes Find Harry and Meghan Odd

Harry’s estranged brother, Prince William, and wife Kate Middleton, are not in attendance as they have been in years past. And the lion’s share of coverage has been devoted to, who else, Meghan.

The outlet reported that Markle “showed up to Wednesday’s games wearing $790 Hermés sneakers after notably wearing $1,350 two-tone Chanel slingbacks upon her arrival.” She’s just one of us.

In fact Sussex insiders made it a point to tell The Telegraph “that much of Markle’s wardrobe is either “vintage” or being re-worn. They also pointed out that the former “Suits” star is traveling without a makeup artist or hairdresser.”
