Orlando Bloom Joins Peppa Pig’s Roster For the Brand’s 20th Anniversary Three-part Special

Orlando Bloom was recently announced to have joined his fiancée Katy Perry to take part in the 20th anniversary celebration of the popular children’s franchise. Here’s what we know.

Orlando Bloom – To Star in Peppa Pig’s Exciting Wedding Themed Special

Next year, Hasbro will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the hit children’s franchise, and there’s already a lot of big names joined in to make the experience a magical one. Among them are Orlando Bloom.

“The Lord of the Rings” and “Pirates of the Caribbean” star will voice a special character in the upcoming three-part “Peppa Pig Wedding Party Special.”

His “special” character, called Mr. Raccoon, is a jeweler who assists in the planning and the preparations for Mr. Bull and Mrs. Cow’s nuptials – the very first wedding to take place in the Peppa Pig universe.

President of eOne’s Family Brands, Olivier Dumont, called it an “honor” to have Bloom onboard to voice a character in the “exciting wedding-themed special.”

“Orlando is an extraordinary actor, dad and philanthropist, and we’re proud to have him join the Peppa roster just in time to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary next year,” he continued in a statement.

“With this captivating moment in Peppa entertainment, along with the many other projects we have in the works across consumer products, partnerships, location-based-entertainment and more, we’re providing fans across the globe with endless ways to celebrate Peppa throughout the year.”

Hasbro and Entertainment One Ltd. announced the happy news on Monday during the annual Toy Fair in New York. Just a week before, Katy Perry was revealed to guest voice dressmaker Ms. Leopard in the special, which is slated for release sometime in spring 2024.

The Announcement Also Clarified That Perry And Bloom’s Casting And Voicing Were Completed Before The WGA And SAG-AFTRA Strikes.

But don’t worry Peppa fans, “Peppa Pig Wedding Party Special” is just one of the many celebratory offerings that will be done to honor the British series’ two decades on air.

As of 2023, the preschool animated children’s television series, which is about about the piggy Peppa, her family and community, has aired across nine seasons in over 180 territories.
