DWTS Derek Hough’s Wife Hayley Erbert’s Emergency Brain Surgery, Tragic Details

Dancing With The Stars pro and judge Derek Hough is dealing with a huge family crisis at home. That’s because there are new reports that say Hough’s wife, Hayley Erbert, has undergone emergency brain surgery after she was feeling a little disoriented at home.

She was rushed to the hospital and underwent an emergency craniectomy after receiving her cranial hematoma diagnosis. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Tragic Details About Hayley Erbert’s Emergency Brain Surgery

Hough took to social media to let his fans know that his wife certainly did not feel like her normal self after a show and that she needed immediate medical assistance.

Hough and Erbert are currently in the middle of their Symphony of Dance tour, which is taking place in cities all across the country. The couple had only tied the knot three months ago but kicked off their tour almost right after their wedding.

During her surgery, the doctors had to remove a portion of her skull to help relieve extra pressure on the brain.

The pro dancer wrote on his Instagram account, “At the end of last night’s tour performance in Washington D.C., my wife Hayley became disoriented and was taken to the hospital. She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy.”

Hayley Erbert’s Condition And Diagnosis Revealed

Hough then updated his followers and said that his wife is in stable condition. He did not say if she is still hospitalized or expected to return home.

However, he did add, “I want to thank the first responders and medical personnel who have cared for and continue to care for her. I ask for your prayers and positivity during this time.”

Many of the dancer’s Instagram followers shared their concerns and well wishes for Erbert. So far Hough has not made any additional comments about the matter but we will definitely update you with more details as they come in.
