The Golden Bachelor Fan Fave Susan Noles Teases Gerry and Theresa’s Wedding

Susan Noles will make a return to Bachelor Nation to support Golden Bachelor stars Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist exchanging vows.

And the Golden Bachelor contestant, 66, who became a fan favorite, expressed her delight in officiating the duo’s ceremony on ABC’s The Golden Wedding special on Thursday, January 4 per Us.

“I guess the secret is out! I’m officiating THE GOLDEN WEDDING,” gushed Susan on Instagram. “And I’m just beyond excited!!” The contestant posed with Gerry, 72, and Theresa, 70.

But Susan also posted a cute video on social media in which she told her daughter, Brittany, and two of her grandchildren about her special role. “Here we Go!! Wedding of the year baby!” she penned for the caption.

As one of 22 women who vied to woo Gerry on the Golden Bachelor, Susan became a fan favorite for her humor and optimism. However, she ended up going home prior to the hometown dates. But Susan and Gerry hugged before her departure. And she described the experience as “a lot of fun.”

And on the Golden Bachelor finale, Gerry proposed to Theresa. But despite not winning Turner’s heart, Susan feels delighted about the wedding. And she posted a clip in which she and contestant Kathy Swarts dished on the Golden Wedding via Zoom.

“It is going to be the wedding of the year,” predicted Kathy, 70. And Susan shared her impression of Theresa’s wedding gown as one “to die for.” But she also wondered how long she thinks it will take for Gerry to cry amid the ceremony.

And Kathy predicted, “I think the minute he sees her in that wedding gown, he’s gonna burst into tears.” Susan thought that Turner would “lose it.” But both Gerry and Theresa shared that they put their focus on planning.

Golden Bachelor Spoilers – Making It ‘Intimate’

And Theresa confessed, “[Gerry] lets me make all the decisions, so there’s no disagreement.” For instance, she expressed her love of “flowers, so important, and music.” But the Golden Bachelor star shared her goal of creating a “warm, wonderful family-oriented wedding.”

However, Theresa admitted that she might struggle to avoid thinking about “cameras around.” And she vowed to do her best to make the wedding seem like “an intimate moment that we’re sharing with a lot of people.”

But she did gush about choosing her wedding dress. And Theresa recalled how her family and friends “went, ‘Oh, that’s the dress.’ And they also said, ‘Oh, your face was glowing. You look so beautiful.’ Now I’m trying to decide, am I wearing a veil with it? Am I wearing any headpiece?”

But Turner confessed that he didn’t know anything about his future wife’s wedding attire. And he shared that he only heard “many great reviews I’ve heard of the dress that Theresa has chosen.” The Golden Wedding airs on ABC Thursday, January 4, at 8 p.m. ET.
