Prince William Returned To Work This Past Week As Princess Kate’s Health Improved

Last month, the Princess of Wales spent 13 days recovering from her planned abdominal surgery. Now, she’s at home recuperating and Prince William has halted his royal duties to spend time with her. However, due to seeing positive signs of her recovery, the Prince of Wales has revealed that he is ready to return to work.

Prince William – Won’t Be Traveling Overseas In the Coming Months Due To Kate’s Surgery

Prior to the news that Kate had undergone abdominal surgery, there were a slate of foreign travels already planned for them, including their first state visit to Italy.

But, due to things being the way they are, William and Kate will not be traveling in the coming months, and we won’t be seeing Kate until after the Easter holidays.

William, on the other hand, will be returning to work this week. On Wednesday, William will conduct an investiture at Windsor Castle, as well as attend the London Air Ambulance annual fundraising gala in central London later that evening. This will be his first time undertaking royal duties since stepping back on Jan. 11.

According to sources, Prince William will not be returning full time, but will be conducting small engagements while he continues to spend time with his wife and children.

Keeping in mind that it’s only been a week since Kate was discharged from the hospital, anyone can understand why William wants to take tentative steps back.

In a statement, the Palace said: “The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress.”

The statement continues: “The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided.

The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”

The last time the Princess of Wales was seen in public was on their Christmas Day outing with Prince William and their children.
