Hallmark Media Addresses Expanding The WCTH Universe

When Calls The Heart Spoilers – New Details On Spinoff

The When Calls the Heart spoilers teased a possible spin-off in the works. However, the original actors wrapped up Season 11 of the original series in November 2023, which premieres in April.

Hallmark Media’s EP of Programming Lisa Hamilton Daly sat down for an interview with Variety. She talked about the theory that the network would expand the WCTH universe.

“We always have conversations about how to expand our IP,” Daly said. “It’s a constant conversation, but for one, it’s going so well still. It’s hard to think, who would you peel off? Erin is really central to the show, as many of the cast members are.”

According to the When Calls the Heart spoilers, there will come a point when the show ends. Daly teased that possiblity in the interview.

She pondered the idea of doing a follow-up series or a spin-off series. Her main focus on the moment is the WCTH series, until it concludes.

“It’s possible, were that show to reach a conclusion, then we might think about what to do, but at this point, we plan to keep going,” Daly responded.

When Calls The Heart Spoilers – Status On When Hope Calls

Hearties heard about the possibility of a spin-off series called When Hope Calls. It doesn’t sound like Hallmark Media is moving forward with this show.

The series later aired on the Hallmark Channel in 2020. It focused on two sisters who lived outside of Hope Valley in a town called Brookfield.

Some of the original When Calls the Heart cast members popped up on the short-lived series. The show wasn’t renewed for a second season.

Great American Family picked up When Hope Calls for Season 2 in 2021. The competing network never announced when Season 2 would premiere. The show’s star Morgan Kohan hinted to Hello! Magazine that the series came to an end.
