Robert Irwin Comments On The Possibility Of Joining The Bachelor

Off the cusp of his breakup with Rorie Buckley last month, Australian conservationist and TV personality Robert Irwin is once again a single pringle!

But would he ever go on The Bachelor? Irwin recently had an interview with Yahoo! Lifestyle, and the subject of him appearing on the reality television dating competition came up.

Robert Irwin Dances Around The Topic

The 20-year-old Australian personality, alongside Julia Morris, his I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here Australia co-host, danced around the idea of him joining The Bachelor, during their interview.

Irwin initially laughed when the question was asked, but Morris notes that if he was The Bachelor, then she’d go on as a bachelorette contestant, and noted it would be like a “weird old creepy nightmare.” Irwin replied, “Yeah … right”, while laughing, and he added, “That sounds perfect.”

Morris stipulated that the two couldn’t go on a date though, as she’s gotten herself into the worst comedy cul-de-sac, “here”.

Still, while the conversation was amusing, Irwin never stated whether or not he’d do the show. Looks like he dodged a bullet there.

Robert Irwin Could Be Hesitant For A Good Reason

Irwin just announced he split with his girlfriend Rorie Buckley on February 16 of this year. The son of Terri Irwin of the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin. The two issued a joint statement together via their Instagram Stories, upon their break-up.

They noted in the statement that they were going their separate ways, but appreciated the time spent together and wished each other the very best in the future.

They also expressed their mutual respect and gratitude for each other, as they journey off on different paths.

As he just entered into the single life once again, and at the young age of twenty, Robert may be hesitant to jump into the dating pool, especially when it comes to the drama and chaos that comes with being on The Bachelor!
