Live with Kelly and Mark is a morning talk show that sets you up for the day. It shows the couple’s banter between each other.

Things took a serious turn when Mark Consuelos injured himself on the live show. He recalled a time when he injured his finger in September 2023.

His wife Kelly Ripa mocked him since it wasn’t serious thankfully. Mark injured himself when he played volleyball.

In December 2023, he also fell on the show when he talked about the hottest holiday toys. Mark played around with a Drench toy. When he pulled the tab, the liquid squirted in his eye.

Mark was caught off-guard by the Drench toy. He stumbled backward and fell. Mark shared that the incident took him time to recover from the incident.

Things got serious when he revealed that he got injured by a knife. Sometimes the co-hosts take part in cooking segments on the talk show.

Live With Kelly and Mark Co-Host Injured With Knife

During one cooking segment, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos spoke with Chef Eric Ripert during a segment of Live’s Cooking School. They learned how to make sauces for different types of meals. The sauces came out great. Kelly tasted some of them, agreeing that they were delicious.

One of the sauces required more work than the ABC co-hosts expected. Mark Consuelos was intent on learning more about how to make it. Kelly started by slicing some onions but felt her husband was better at it. Eric demonstrated a safe way to slice onions.

Kelly shared that she was afraid to “cut my fingers off.” Mark wanted to give it a try for himself. He ended up injuring his hand. Just moments prior, Eric told the viewers at home: “Don’t cut yourself, please, because [Michael] Gelman is looking at me.”

Kelly Ripa asked Mark Consuelos if he was “bleeding.” He revealed that he left some “nail clippings behind.” She handed him a towel to apply pressure to the wound. He dabbed his fingers before setting the towel aside and carrying on with the segment. Per Entertainment Weekly, Mark was fine.
