Former Meghan Markle Co-Star, Simon Rex Admits He Was Offered Cash To Lie About The Duchess

Speaking to the Hollywood Raw podcast, Simon Rex makes it clear that nothing ever happened between him and the woman that is now known as the Duchess of Sussex. He said, “Nothing happened. We never even kissed. We hung out once in a very non-datey way. She was just someone I had met on a television show and we got lunch. That was the extent of it. When the story broke, a couple of British tabloids offered to pay me a lot of money to say a lie that we actually hooked up. I said no to a lot of money because I didn’t feel right lying and f—king up the royal family.”

With that said, both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made it no secret that one of the reasons why they wanted to leave royal life behind was because of the treatment they received by the British press. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have hinted that they unfairly targeted and mistreated compared to some of the coverage that Prince William and Kate Middleton received.
