Prince William takes his duties as future monarch very seriously, and he’s reportedly not having younger brother Prince Harry – you know, the one who once said that William’s trapped in the system – mess with his plans, not even if his father King Charles was willing to show some leniency and welcome Harry back. Here’s what a royal expert thinks of the situation.

Royal Expert Opens Up About What Prince William And the Late Prince Philip Have In Common

Prince Philip has often been described as the ‘“strength and stay” of the late Queen Elizabeth the II. And that cannot be more true as reports credit him with making sure everything ran seamlessly behind the scenes. He is said to be so staunch that ifs and buts don’t apply to him.

In his absence, a royal expert has claimed that William is beginning to take up more of his attributes when it comes to the monarchy. Like grandfather, like grandson I guess.

Speaking to Daily Mail, a source said that William is “calling the shots” as the family’s new “disciplinarian.”

They shared: “There is a sense that William has stepped into the Prince Philip role. Philip ruled the family with a rod of iron and you saw when he died that discipline collapsed. Now William is calling the shots when it comes to family discipline.”

Since Harry left the monarchy, he’s found several ways to criticize not only the institution, but the Commonwealth and other organizations associated with it.

So maybe it’s understandable that William is making every move to block Harry on all fronts, especially since he made that remark about spending more of his time in the UK earlier this year.

Even though, as the source claimed, Charles is more lax about Harry visiting the UK more often, Prince William has been firm in his decision to not allow Harry to crawl back. Per the expert, this “tells you everything you need to know about who is really in charge.”
