Chrisley Knows Best alum Julie Chrisley will be resentenced, and her daughter, Savannah Chrisley hopes that she will be home for Thanksgiving. However, is that realistic? Read on to find out what USA Network fans think about the chances of that happening.
The Overturning Of Julie Chrisley’s Case
When the oral arguments appeal went to the 11th Circuit, the ruling came back that Julie’s sentence had been “vacated.” What does that mean? Well, it sounds as if she was sentenced for something she didn’t do. Fox News reported that it was a technicality. Their report noted that “the trial judge mistakenly miscalculated the length of the sentence.” So, that doesn’t mean she didn’t commit a crime.
The resentencing of Julie Chrisley will have to take into account that originally, Savannah Chrisley’s mom was sentenced for the full term of the fraudulent crimes, and not just part of it. So, it is likely that she will get a reduction. But, will the Chrisley Knows Best alum be home for Thanksgiving?
Is Savannah Chrisley Being Over-Optimistic?
Savannah repeatedly talked about her mom coming home early. She’s set her heart on Thanksgiving. And, she already told her fans that her mom wanted to live with her instead of on her own. That’s understandable after being institutionalized. But, does it always work that way: prison one day, and Dancing With the Stars next season?
On Reddit, Chrisley Knows Best fans talked about the fact that the length of the sentence for Julie Chrisley might be reduced. But, the crime remains the same. Possibly, a reduction in restitution might happen. But, they also discussed the possibility of a halfway house before Savannah Chrisley finally gets her mom home.
When Might Julie Get Home To Savannah Chrisley?
U/here4kids asked Chrisley Knows Best fans what they thought about the new sentence for Julie. They wrote:
..what’s everybody’s guess on what julie christley’s (sic) new sentence on September 25th will be? Will she be getting out in time for Thanksgiving dinner at home, or staying almost as long as originally sentenced?
Some thought was given to the question, and also, some astute possibilities arrived. Here are some of the comments from the discussion:
- I’m guessing maybe a year will come off but I don’t see her release til next year at the earliest. They haven’t even expressed any remorse so I don’t think the judge will cut her any slack.
- Halfway house House arrest. Begin paying restitution immediately a significant payment.
- If her sentence is reduced to four years she could be released from prison around this time next year. But to a halfway house. Not home initially.
- Someone explain this to delulu Savannah who has no idea what she’s talking about in her scary face lives. Savannah’s scary face is gonna be crying some big ole tears when her swindling Mama is on her way back to prison after resentencing.
What are your thoughts about Julie Chrisley possibly not getting home in 2024? Do you think at best, Savannah Chrisley’s mom might have to stop over in a halfway house? Sound off in the comments below, and remember to come back here often for all your Chrisley Knows Best news.

I hope both Julie and Todd are released asap because I don’t think either one of them should be in prison to begin with from what I’ve looked up on all of this.Todds ex partner should be the one in prison. And the judge who made the ruling against them is bias in the very least. If you really want to know the truth you have to do a bit of digging because the news has failed to report things fairly. Imagine that.I also think it’s disgusting and ignorant how people have made comments against this family because they “have money” Get yourselves educated or simply get a life and leave these people alone.
