Blake Horstmann revealed his mental health declined after appearing on Bachelor in Paradise. If he could redo his life over, he would never have gone on the ABC series. Bachelor Nation can see why. Blake was edited as the villain of the season. He found himself in the center of almost everything that happened. The controversial contestant did a Q&A with fans on social media. Blake talked about his time on Bachelor in Paradise and how it affected his mental health.
He did not hold back on his answers. He slammed the BiP producers and revealed how they “convinced” him not to date Hannah Godwin, as per Cosmopolitan.
“When I received the date card, I 100% planned to take Hannah [out on a date],” Blake wrote. “I even left my interview saying I was gonna take Hannah. When I walked out of the interview, 3 producers sat me down for close to an hr [sic] and convinced me to take Tayshia. It was 100% my decision, they didn’t force me or anything, but at that point, I really truly did trust the producers and that they had my best interest.”
When he was asked whether he would do BiP again, Blake said that he still has “pretty bad PTSD” from being on the show. He added, “It’s hard for me to trust anybody now, let alone producers anyone in front of cameras…people change dramatically in front of cameras…”
But there’s one thing that Blake doesn’t regret and that’s releasing Caelynn Miller-Keyes’ private text messages. As Cosmopolitan previously reported, he released his private Stagecoach messages in an attempt to clear his name.

Blake took to Instagram to claim that his “name and character are being attacked.” This comes after Caleynn claimed that she and Blake hooked up at Stagecoach after he hooked up with Kristina Schulman.
“I don’t regret it and I will never apologize for defending myself against lies that were serious allegations on national TV,” Blake wrote. “It sucks it came to that and I wish it didn’t have to, but it did.”
