Many fans were looking forward to Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette. But Season 16 was postponed in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic. When will the next season of The Bachelorette premiere? Host Chris Harrison revealed that it won’t be a while. Unfortunately, the future of the show is up in the air.
The Bachelorette Spoilers – Show Has Top Priority Amongst Bachelor Nation
During an interview with Glamour, Chris Harrison said that The Bachelorette will take the number one priority over the other Bachelor shows. That’s good news for fans who want to see the show as soon as possible.
“Obviously the longer this goes, the tougher it’s going to be, logistics-wise and calendar and all that,” Harrison said. “First and foremost, when we get back, we have to safely figure out how can we produce The Bachelorette.”
And here is the bad news. It could take several months for Clare’s season to air.
“When can we start shooting? It’s not like there’s going to be a day, say May 1, if the governor and president decide that we can all [resume work], and then boom, we have a television show,” Chris said. “That’s not how it works. That just means we can go to work and start producing a television show.”
“Months are going to go by before we can get something on the air, so we’re trying to look at two things: One, how can we immediately service everybody and create content?” Chris continued. “And two, how quickly can we go back to The Bachelorette, BIP, The Bachelor, and fit it all in?”
The Bachelorette Spoilers – Bachelor Execs Being Creative
Chris revealed that the Bachelor producers are coming up with creative ways to keep fans entertained during this time of social distancing.

“We’re looking at all kinds of creative ways,” Chris said. “Maybe it is check-in or a reunion show, or maybe it’s creating some other type of show about The Bachelor that we can get on the air immediately.”
When it’s safe to resume filming again, Chris said the new season will reflect what’s going on in the real world. Fans will also notice a change with the show. The Bachelorette wants to film at a resort when and if the show is given the green light to return. Clare’s season will not include international travel or hometown dates.
The Bachelorette won’t air for some time. It’s important for everyone’s safety. Maybe The Bachelor team will come up with a new spinoff for these challenging times. Stay tuned for more news and updates.

I feel badly for Claire. She’s so happy to take this journey. It’s just a bump in the road.
