Teen Mom: The Next Chapter premiered on MTV on September 6, 2022, following the end of OG and TM2. Recently, rumors have spread that the show might not be renewed. This news comes despite other reports that Jenelle Evans is trying to return to the series. This week, a cast member strongly hinted that the show is over.

The Hint Came On TikTok

It was TV Shows Ace who noticed a comment on a recent TikTok by the sister of Briana DeJesus: Brittany. According to the outlet, Brittany was emotional, and the hint about the show ending came in the comments section. Sometimes, valuable insights can be found in those comments.

The outlet noted that Brittany felt as if her life was a shambles, so someone asked about finances and if “Briana would be willing to help her sister.” Well, it seems that won’t happen because snarky Brittany was quoted as saying:

I ain’t broke no more because I ended up getting my money and my sister doesn’t give me money, MTV gives me money LOL. But the show canceled, so bye, bye to those checks LMAO.

As the comment was since deleted, it seems that Briana DeJesus’ sister might have overstepped with the spoilers.

Will Fans Be Sad If It’s True?

The current cast on the MTV show isn’t grabbing a lot of people. Ryan Edwards seems to have turned his life around. Meanwhile, Amber Portwood is as annoying as ever for lots of fans. And Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have dragged out their beef about not seeing their adopted daughter, Carly, almost to the point of boredom setting in.

In fact, many people think that Kailyn Lowry did the right thing when she declined to be a part of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.  Recently, she said that the show is heavily edited anyway. Of course, people know reality TV shows are edited a lot, but they don’t like to be reminded that they might be swallowing a lie. So, lots of people might not miss it

Most fans on Reddit seem particularly tired of it all. One of them said in the r/teenmom community, “Seen this on tiktok yesterday. I’m cool with it. Should have happened long time ago.”

Others agreed and here are some of their reactions to probability that the show is ending:

• This show needs to be done. Watch how fast the houses go up for sale!!
• I’ll believe it when I see it, but I hope it really is cancelled.
• I really hope the show is cancelled. None of them are teen mom’s any more, and the kids that are on there are mostly teenagers themselves and have been taught to know better than repeat the cycle. Except for Jace, poor kid.
