Bachelor and Bachelorette alum Kaitlyn Bristowe had a run of bad luck with men, and now she’s facing a crisis. This weekend, she called for prayers and revealed devastating news about a family member. Read on for more details.

The news that one of Kaitlyn’s family members needs a lot of prayers arrived on Instagram this weekend. Shawn Booth’s ex shared a serene photo of a lake, but the caption was anything but serene. She told her ABC fans that her step-dad has cancer.

In part, she said in her caption, “About 8 months ago, I asked everyone to pray for my step dad, Rob. I didn’t say why, but he was diagnosed with cancer and he was going into surgery to get it removed.”

Well, it turned out that the surgery was successful. However, the former Bachelorette explained that it spread. Now, it’s gone to “his stomach.” Right now, he’s “battling an incurable stage 4 cancer.” However, she hasn’t lost all hope, describing Rob as “a stubborn strong warrior with a passion for life.”

Manifesting Good Things

If you throw your mind back, Kaitlyn Bristowe released her debut single, “If I’m Being Honest,” in 2020. It did well, and she had also won Dancing with the Stars. At the time, she told her followers that she manifested those good happenings.

This time, she’s also relying on manifestation. She added to her post, “I really do believe in the power of prayer, the power of manifestation, and the power of love. So please send it all his way.” For now, she and her devastated family are spending time with her step-dad, just enjoying his company.
