According to Royal Family news sources Prince Charles has been fighting with Carole Middleton in what’s been called a “Battle Royal.” The reason? Who gets to see the grandkids more!

If their kids Prince William and Kate Middleton are involved in the fight, it hasn’t been disclosed. But apparently Charles has felt “edged out” by Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael, in the grandkids sweepstakes according to Katie Nicholl who wrote of the drama in the Daily Mail in 2016.

Royal Family News: Is Charles Right To Feel Left Out Of His Grandkids’ Lives?

Nicholl quoted a source as saying, “Charles feels very much that the Middletons get more than their fair share of time with George and Charlotte. In comparison, he sees them very little and he bears a bit of a grudge about that.”

Additionally, she wrote that palace courtiers think that Carole has a, “rather grandiose presence,” when she is at Kensington Palace and feel she is, “possessive” of her daughter and son-in-law as well as her grandkids.

Charles reportedly said in regard to George, who was born in 2013, “They never let me see my grandson.”
It is said that George’s third birthday party was an event arranged solely by the Middletons, although Charles and Camilla were invited.

According to Nicholl, a source told her that Charles, “went because he wasn’t prepared to miss out but Camilla didn’t go. Apparently, she had other commitments.”

The source went on to say, “Charles didn’t want to miss his grandson’s birthday but the fact that the whole thing was essentially a Middleton event with Carole orchestrating the whole thing is exactly what upsets him.”

And another source affirmed this sentiment saying, “Charles feels rather left out. He gets very little time with his grandchildren and I know he gets upset about it because he has said.”

Apparently there is another reason Charles is miffed, and that has to do with his feeling that his own son, “William spends more time with the Middletons than he does with his own family.”
