General Hospital Spoilers: Maxie’s Rush to Choose Spinelli Backfires as She Still Longs for Nathan

Even so, Maxie has a forever connection with Nathan that may be hard to sever. Although Maxie thinks she can put Nathan behind her romantically and keep Spinelli as her focus, that may become more difficult soon.

It’s one thing for Maxie to reject Nathan when he’s unattached. It’s quite another to watch Nathan move on with Lulu, who happens to be Maxie’s best friend.

Despite Lulu’s hesitation to move forward with Nathan since everything is still so complicated, they’ll inevitably become a real couple at some point.

Nathan and Lulu won’t want to flaunt anything in Maxie’s face, but she’s bound to discover their growing connection sooner or later.

Maxie may find herself grappling with some unexpected jealousy and perhaps even some regrets about choosing Spinelli too fast. This could lead to Maxie’s second thoughts about pushing Nathan away and even leave her asking what might’ve been.

Likewise, Nathan might feel a stronger pull to Maxie now that she’s living in Port Charles again. It could potentially leave Nathan with some regrets of his own if he wonders whether he should’ve fought harder for Maxie.

That said, many fans still have doubts about whether this Nathan is even the real deal! Despite the evidence uncovered by the PCPD, the show keeps dropping hints that Nathan isn’t the man he used to be.
