General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, June 17, tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) fights for his life in a GH classic. The ABC soap is re-airing an episode that was first seen on September 14, 2015. Here’s a preview of all the General Hospital action in this encore presentation.
At Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) place, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) shows up and consoles her over all the recent horror. Maxie gets updates on the crime scene and reflects on “CarSon” deserving their shot at being happy. She eventually reflects on Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) looking so lovely on her wedding day, which brought the worst news of Carly’s life.
General Hospital Spoilers: Dante Gets Bad News About Sonny
At GH, Dr. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) tells Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about Sonny’s condition. The doc notes that they’ll have to see if Sonny has improved by morning. Patrick adds that surgery will be needed and wants Dante to understand that it’s not guaranteed Sonny pull through.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) asks Dante for the scoop and learn Julian Jerome (William deVry) is in lockup after being spotted down on the pier. Sam isn’t sure what to believe when it comes to Julian. In the waiting area, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) finds Sonny’s wedding vows after picking up his dad’s jacket. The vows fall out, so Michael picks them up and wonders if Carly wants to read them.
General Hospital Spoilers & Updates: Morgan Corinthos Vows Revenge
Carly opts to take the vows to the chapel so she can reflect alone, but she wants Michael to come get her if there are any changes. In Sonny’s room, Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) rages about making sure Julian pays for this. He also wants to be a better son from now on and is counting on Sonny to be around to see it.
When Dante appears, he argues with Morgan about Julian. A fed-up Morgan exits, so Dante takes the opportunity to speak with Sonny by his bedside. Dante doesn’t want to lose Sonny and assures his father of his love. However, Dante thinks Sonny’s selfish to put his profession before his family. He’s taken aback when Sonny’s monitors go haywire.

Back with Sam, she explains how Jake Doe (Billy Miller) saved Sonny during a chat with Patrick. Sam recalls how Jake killed three men to make sure Sonny and TJ Ashford (Tequan Richmond) survived. In the chapel, Carly finally determines that she needs to know what Sonny wrote for her. She reads his vows, which talk about something being missing when they’re not together.
Sonny thinks all the storms are worth it if he’s got Carly. He reveals that if he dies tomorrow, he’ll die happy since he spent his last day with the woman he loves. Carly finishes reading and pleads with Sonny to stay so he can fulfill his promises. Suddenly, Michael appears and tells his mom that Sonny needs her.
Next On GH: Big Jake (Drew) Bonds With Little Jake and Liz Webber
Meanwhile, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) is weepy as she tries to tell Jake something. She reflects on never wanting Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to be with Sam and wants to make a terrible confession. Jake Webber (Hudson West) interrupts after having a bad dream about Big Jake leaving them, but Big Jake promises he’s not going anywhere.
After Jake puts the kid back to bed, he also reassures Elizabeth that he’s sticking around. Jake feels Liz is all he has now, but Elizabeth admits she’s done something terrible to Sam. In a hotel suite, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) is surprised to find Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford). Nina springs annulment papers on Ric, which specify that he won’t have control over her or her money.
Franco and Nina explain Ric will land behind bars for his plot against Nina if he doesn’t sign. Ric reluctantly obeys orders and gets tossed out. Nina and Franco kiss once they’re alone and free of all the Ric drama.
It sounds like an excellent throwback episode’s on the way. General Hospital spoilers say there’ll be some fantastic moments to rewatch, so be sure to tune in! Stick with the ABC soap and don’t forget to check back often for the latest General Hospital spoilers, updates and news posts.

Absolutely! I miss him greatly. I am SICK of Jason (Steve Burton). He never smiles….is smug….thinks he is HOT SH.T! Billy Miller is such a different, softer, kinder personality. I am also SICK TO DEATH of JASAM! Sick of Sam for sure…she is such a prima donna. The world does NOT revolve around her! GET RID of Sam and Nelle and Jason! BRING BILLY MILLER back, but get him a new love interest. SAM does not deserve him!
