General Hospital Spoilers reveal that alum, Jonathan Jackson, who has played Lucky Spencer on and off for decades has announced a new project. Jackson announced this on directly on his Instagram account recently.
Jonathan Jackson’s Project Is Coming Soon
Jackson began his career on GH in 1993 when he premiered as Lucky Spencer, the son of the iconic couple Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
Jackson has won six Daytime Emmys over the years for the role as the son of General Hospital’s huge supercouple.
Jackson’s latest Emmy, for Outstanding Supporting Actor, was awarded just last year for his most recent portrayal of Lucky.
However, acting is not the only thing that Jackson is known for. Jackson has made a career as a musician as well as a writer and a poet all they while being available to come back to acting here and there.
Jonathan Jackson’s Instagram Announcement
Jackson set up his Instagram post in a selfie-type format where he spoke to his fans directly has he opened up about the details of his new release as an author. “I just wanted to let you know that I have a new project that is coming out September 26 this year,”
Jackson said. “It’s available for preorder on Amazon and other places.” Jackson displayed a cover in his video of The Eternal Poet and the Cosmic Drama.
Jackson also opened up about his exit from General Hospital. Jackson admits that this project has been many years in the making and he continues with his desire to continue his longstanding interest in storytelling, history, and spirituality. This is not the first time Jackson has followed his true calling.
Jonathan Jackson’s Other Projects
“The new release follows earlier work as an author, including The Mystery of Art: Becoming an Artist in the Image of God (2014) and The Harrowing of Hell (2023). He has also published poetry under the name J.S. Jackson, expanding his work as a writer alongside his acting and music career.”
Jackson has been seen in other avenues other than daytime tv including movies such as 1999’s The Deep End of the Ocean and 2002’s Tuck Everlasting, he starred as Avery Barkley on all six seasons of the ABC series Nashville from 2012 to 2016. Jackson also has a band, Enation, where he performs alongside his brother, Richard.
Jackson’s Instagram post describes his new project as, “a deep dive into the art of storytelling as it relates to history, the Bible and Pagan Mythology,” also saying “that it is aimed primarily at filmmakers, writers, poets, and performers, while also appealing to those interested in the intersection of art, faith, and meaning.”
Currently, The Eternal Poet and the Cosmic Drama, is the No.1 new release on Amazon in Christian Orthodoxy.
